About Gulf Buoy Fishing imageAbout Gulf Buoy Fishing imageAbout Gulf Buoy Fishing image
I have started Gulfbuoy fishing LLC to take out friends and family free of charge and zero tips while I am completing my days on the water towards my USCG captains license. This site shows pictures of what we have caught over the past years.
Once I have all my 360 days on the water we may be starting a charter business. As of now we are not a charter business we are recreational only.
The reason for this is: The laws state you cannot charge for fishing without a USCG CAPTAINS LICENSE

since this is only recreational offshore fishing you must have a saltwater fishing lisence in your name. This can be purchased online or at your local Walmart. 3 day is 17.00 and yearly non resident is 48.00.

We are allowed to split the trip expenses evenly with the owner also included in the even split which is what we will do when we go out until I receive my captains license

Example of a 60 mile trip  7 to 10 hours  on water (20 to 25 miles off shore or trolling for kings for 3 hours)

Marina Fuel 40 gal at 5..00 per gal = 200.00
Quicksilver premium plus 2 stroke oil 34.95
Bait - sqid, thread fin herring & blue runner = 40.00
Ice for coolers/fish box 20.00
Case of bottled water = 7.00
Boat, rod reel and tackle maintenance per trip (average over 20 trips out is) 100 per trip.

Total cost of trip = 401.94
So for three people total on boat, expense split would be 134.00 each
Total for 4 people on boat expense would be 100.00 each.

If you are on point the day we go out and catch a grouper 30” or larger or any other monster fish, a picture will be taken and you and your fish will be added to the Monster Hunters Club!
